TECHNICAL ENGINEER DIPLOMA (TED)

The Technical Engineer Diploma in Automotive Engineering and Machine Technology courses are full-time courses offered by ITE, which follow a practice-based curriculum prescribed by a prestigious partner institution – the Ministry of Education, Youth & Sports of Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany.

  • Graduates of the TED courses will be eligible to apply for admission to the related NUS Bachelor of Technology programmes as well as Universities of Applied Sciences in Germany

EARN & LEARN PROGRAMMES FOR NITEC / HIGHER NITEC GRADUATES

The ELP is a bond-free 12 to 18-month workstudy programme designed to match fresh ITE NITEC or Higher NITEC graduates to a job related to their discipline of study. Thereafter, they will undergo a training programme which includes facilitated learning, on-the-job training and work-based projects.

Engineering Industry Scholarships

BCS-INDUSTRY BUILT ENVIRONMENT ITE SCHOLARSHIP

This is offered by the Building and Construction Authority (BCA, in collaboration with industry firms, to students of high calibre pursuing fulltime Built Environment (BE) courses at the ITE colleges.

  • Allowance of up to $7,000 a year during the two years of ITE study
  • Upgrading incentives of $4,000 through industry-recognised training
  • Post-ITE development with attractive salary and opportunities for career advancement
  • Bond: 2 years

Offered by the Energy Market Authority, together with power sector organisations such as Sembcorp Industries Ltd, Singapore LNG Corporation Pte Ltd, and Singapore Power Ltd, this is offered to ITE students from relevant engineering programs.

  • Sponsorship of tuition fees and $400 monthly living allowance plus one-time allowance of $1,000 for study-related expenses
  • Industrial attachments and mentorship
  • Invitations to closed-door events with industry participants
  • Bond: 2 years

Engineering Industry Training Programmes

BIOLOGICS OVERSEAS SKILLS TRAINING PROGRAMME (BOOST)

The Biologics Overseas Skills Training (BOOST) Programme combines both Process Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (Process WSQ) and overseas structure inhouse training with top biologics companies. Training duration will take up to 21 months and candidates will receive a WSQ Higher Certificate in Process Technology (Biologics Manufacturing).

Trainees under BOOST will be supported with course fee funding, training allowances and one return economy class air ticket for the training duration.

UNIVERSITY ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIPS

UNIVERSITY ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP

The University Engineering Scholarship (UES) is open to Polytechnic Diploma holders from Singapore pursuing full-time undergraduate programmes at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), National University of Singapore (NUS), and Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) and Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).

  • Full tuition fee coverage (after Tuition Grant Subsidy)
  • S$5,800 annual living allowance
  • S$2,000 one-time computer allowance

This is an exclusive programme to attract the very best students to read any branch of engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS).   • Earn a Bachelor of Engineering at NUS, and a postgraduate Engineering degree at a top partner university

NTU RENAISSANCE ENGINEERING PROGRAMME

NTU’s flagship engineering programme, and one of NTU’s four Premier Scholars Programmes, REP is a dual-degree programme that awards a Bachelor of Engineering Science (College of Engineering, NTU) coupled with a Master of Science in Technology Management (Nanyang Business School) at the end of four and a half years.

  • New pedagogy of learning and teaching

POLY-GOES-UAS

This bond-free scholarship allows polytechnic graduates to be sponsored for full-time studies at a University of Applied Sciences (UAS) in Germany, while undergoing structured apprenticeship training with leading German engineering leaders.

  • Earn an undergraduate degree from the University of Applied Sciences in Germany
  • Intern at a reputed German engineering company such as Mann+Hummel Group, Pepperl+Fuchs, Rohde & Schwarz, Wieland, and Dormakaba
  • 800 to 1,400 euros allowance per month (amount increases with experience in the programme)

POLYTECHNIC ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIPS

NATIONAL PRECISION ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP

The NPES Scholarship is available to all newly enrolled first-year students in Diploma in Digital & Precision Engineering.

  • Annual sponsorship of tuition fees payable (after tuition grant)
  • A monthly allowance up to S$800/- for the 3-year duration of the course of study
  • Tenable for 3 years of study in NYP
  • If shortlisted, applicants must pass the NPES interview with participating companies
  • Applicant must be Singapore Citizen, PRs, or Malaysians
  • On completion of the Diploma in Digital & Precision Engineering, scholars will have to serve a bond with sponsoring companies in the Precision Engineering industry
  • Duration of the bond is 3 years for Singaporeans / PRs and 5 years for International Students
  • Application will commence during the Joint Admission Exercise (JAE) in January of the following year

ST ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP

The NYP-ST Engineering Scholarship is available to all newly enrolled first-year students in the Diploma in Nanotechnology & Materials Science.

  • Annual allowance of $3,000, for 3 years
  • Tenable up to 3 years of study in NYP
  • Application commences in September after Year 1 Semester 1 results
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be selected for interviews with NYP, with a final review by ST Engineering
