The Company’s Global Treasury Service Centre will lead and consolidate its global liquidity, cash management and investment activities for Americas, European and Asia Pacific subsidiaries in Singapore. The US Treasury headquarter at Santa Rosa will provide oversight to the global FX, Pension and Risk programs on a global basis with additional support from the Global Singapore TSC.
The core responsibility of the Singapore global team is to provide a high level of treasury services for each of the subsidiaries by ensuring smooth daily cash operations, efficient liquidity and investment management, optimum coverage for FX and risk management, enhanced banking relationship management, and value creation with treasury consulting projects such as acquisition and divestiture, product, services and technology enhancement, etc. and ensuring compliance with appropriate controls and processes.
1. Investment and cash management activities:
Perform active cash management activities for key currency cash pools to ensure adequate working capital and liquidity within the guidelines of Corporate Treasury Policies including daily cash positioning and reconciliation of bank balances; execution of cash payment transfers, FX conversions and monthly intercompany settlements; execution of investment and borrowing activities, maintenance of Treasury Management System (Integrity), accurate reporting of cash for all bank accounts, timely handover to the Treasury Accounting team to ensure proper recording and accounting for all treasury related transactions
2. Corporate Treasury Support:
Provide operational support for Corporate Reporting, FX, Pension, Risk and Corporate Finance including cash forecasting and analysis to support Balance Sheet Hedging process, support management of debt/investment strategies, monitoring and reporting activities - cash positions, counterparty exposure, credit lines, bank utilization, interest yields.
3. Treasury Consulting:
Provide treasury consulting services to internal partners across the businesses, shared services hubs in each regions: recommend and implement process improvements and other re-engineering projects such as the introduction of new products or changes to entity or bank account structure, identification of FX exposures, bank account structures, acquisition and divestiture support, ad-hoc funding requirements, capital structure planning, bank guarantees issuance and credit facilities; etc.
4. Banking relationship:
Manage global relationship and local bank relationship within each region, including on-going review of banking products and services, pricing negotiation, annual review of credit facilities towards the objective of maintaining an appropriate and efficient banking structure.
5. Treasury Management Systems & Technology:
Champion process transformation by leveraging on technology available via the global Treasury Management System (Sungard-Integrity) and working with relevant banking providers and/or third party solutions to create value and drive efficiency for the Company.
6. Controls and Compliance:
Ensure compliance and adherence of internal process controls, Sarbanes-Oxley and any country specific legal requirements and foreign exchange regulatory controls as well as best practices and ability to apply those prescribed under Corporate policies and guidelines
- Degree in Financial/ Business/ Accounting
- Corporate Treasury experience in MNC or Banking and finance experience in banking sector preferred
- System application knowledge – Treasury Management Systems, ERPs and other treasury applications
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written language across internal and external parties
- Fluent in English, Fluency in other language(s) is an advantage
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, problem solver
- Strong team player
- Ability to operate to tight deadlines, flexibility
- Exhibit highest standards of integrity and reliability
- Good negotiation and influencing skills.
- Typically 2-4 years relevant experience for entry to this level
